Short version: this site is built to make money when you buy something through the links on it. Here's the longer, plain-English version.
Top Appliance Brands intends to participate in affiliate programs with Lowe's and Amazon. Those applications are still in progress, so right now the links here are plain product links that earn nothing. Once they're approved, clicking a Lowe's or Amazon link and making a purchase would pay this site a small commission. Either way you pay exactly the same price you would have paid anyway — a commission comes out of the retailer's pocket, not yours.
Those commissions are how the site keeps the lights on. What they donot do is decide the rankings. Every pick on this site is an editorial choice based on what I see holding up (and failing) on real service calls. No manufacturer or retailer has paid for a placement, a ranking, or a kind word, and none ever will. If a machine stops earning its spot, it comes off the list — affiliate link or not.
A few more specifics, because the FTC rightly asks sites like this one to spell it out:
- Once approved as an Amazon Associate, this site will earn from qualifying purchases.
- Links to Lowe's are plain product links today, and would become affiliate links earning a commission on qualifying purchases once that program is approved.
- Prices shown on this site are approximate and can lag behind the retailer's current price. Always check the price on the retailer's page before you buy.
- No brand featured here has provided free products, payment, or any other consideration in exchange for coverage.
